Councillor - Steve Bower (Chairman)
My name is Steve Bower. I am a Headteacher. I have lived in the area all my life and my children grew up in Smalley. Now its’s grandchildren! As part of the Parish Council I am driven to preserve & respect the heritage of Smalley, and yet grasp opportunities to move us forward. I listen to residents' views and defend our position as issues come along. I can be contacted on 01332 883224 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
Councillor - Martyn Miller
I have lived in Smalley for 24years with my wife, and both of our children attended Smalley Richardson Primary School. I work as a mortgage & insurance adviser. I became a parish councillor in 2011 as I wanted to have a say in the developments which were happening in and around our Parish. I am also keen to help to ensure that Smalley remains a pleasant place in which to live. During the term of the present Smalley Parish Council, I have been particularly pleased to have been involved with the new development on Dobholes Lane Playpark as I believe that sport and recreation are an important part of our community. I can be contacted on 07980 915718.
Councillor - Terry Pride
I have lived with my family in the area for over thirty years and moved to Smalley three years ago. I have been retired for five years after a career lasting over forty five years; my interests include gardening, reading and walking and representing the interest of the people of Smalley at parish council level.
Councillor - Neil Paget
I have lived in Smalley since 1997 and have always been interested in local issues. I have chaired the Smalley Action Group which has opposed opencast mining and inappropriate housing development (not enough social housing). As a parish councillor I will strive to represent the views of the parishioners, and help to enhance the village and its surroundings. Please contact me if there's anything you'd like to discuss.
Councillor - Graham Rogers
Born in Leicester, but have lived in Smalley Parish for over 50 years “I have served on the Parish Council for the past 11 years, as did my late father for 12 years”.
Having spent many years in sales management in both the UK and Middle East , I have been able to take early retirement and give more time to putting something back into the local community.
As a member of the Parish Council, we have in recent years improved the play area facilities on both Stainsby Meadow and Dobholes Lane.
