Our Council
"meet Smalley Parish Council"
Councillor - Martin Gallimore
Derbyshire born and bred, I have lived in Smalley parish since 2013. Now retired from the fashion industry I find that I have the time to give back to the community and be a part of the process to keep Smalley a wonderful place for all.

Councillor - Graham Rogers
Born in Leicester, but have lived in Smalley Parish for over 50 years “I have served on the Parish Council for the past 11 years, as did my late father for 12 years”.
Having spent many years in sales management in both the UK and Middle East , I have been able to take early retirement and give more time to putting something back into the local community.
As a member of the Parish Council, we have in recent years improved the play area facilities on both Stainsby Meadow and Dobholes Lane.
Councillor - Jan Walker (MBE)
I have lived at Stainsby Lodge for over 50 years in Smalley and have been actively involved in many aspects of Parish life serving as Councillor and Lay minister whilst raising our family of three. It was a huge honour to be awarded the MBE in 2007 for Service to our Community helping to bring about improvements to all ages. The latest improvement in the village is the completed play area on Dobholes Lane at a cost of £85,000 (donated by UK Surface Mining) which will be opened formally later this year.
